Cyber Security is a priority to the Gov.

Wants to see a cyber secure state
Wants to build and attract the work force and education
Wants to know how to leverage cyber and become a more sovereign state
Wants to leverage defense technology and is proactive on staying up on defensive measures


Governor graduated from West Point and is an attorney. He is NOT a cyber guy and not too technical and needs all information in layman terms. He is a reasonable guy who doesn't get too excited and listens a lot

Governor wants to go after gov. or grant and not use State $ if at all possible. If so, how much and he may have to appropriate $ a year or 2 down the road
Governor will determine whether this is useful for the State or just "another pitch".

The NG will take the Governor's lead on the system
Dept. of Education will be there. They have a separate internet. 80% of schools in state have a contracted state, independent vendor on a local level

How to have a continuity of operations and communications
Gov. wants to know how to leverage - more guard centered? How for the state and how employed? Just websites or assurance on State government? Does the NG take over?

J6 (IT/communications) will be there. Can FC technology work with their system and how it crosses over - they have a LOT of technical questions
Cyber and IT wants to see how it works and where it resides - is their any monitoring capability/detection?

How will this work in the cyber world? What can it bring for creating new jobs?
Strategic goals and outcomes - how easy is it to acquire and what is the fiscal $? Reasonable or not? Will there be some out years or Fed $ available?

Governor, Chief of Staff, Homeland Security, State Police, Dept. of Education, Div. of Administration, CISO/IT, General Waddell, J6/IT and all NG equivalent will be there. We have one hour total for presentation, scenarios and questions.

We also need to email complete list of those coming from our team
We need to send a thumbdrive in advance for a backup.
